Dr Ann-Katrin Swärd, ass prof at the Department of Education and Special Education, Gothenburg University, Sweden. Her research is in the field education and special education: Literacy, language/speech development, neuropsychiatric disorder and ethics in teachers’ profession.
Dr Swärd is affiliated to the research environment CHILD at Jönköping University, ECE (Early Childhood Education) at the University of Gävle, member of PRIS (Platform for Research on Inclusive Education and School development) an PAGE (Power and Agency in Education) at University of Gothenburg.
Ongoing research is about degrading treatment in preschool, action research about Learning Community for Peace. Dr. Swärd has worked as a teacher in special/inclusive education for many years in preschool and schools and she is also author of several books and articles. International collaboration in different project with many countries has always been important and still is.
Dr. Swärd is an extern examiner for doctoral thesis at universities in South Africa and reviewer for international journals.
